Metcalf & Co. Riso Print – Ghost Signs Reimagined Collection.
Love a bit of vintage charm? This A3 riso print is a playful nod to the Metcalf & Co. ghost sign, brought back to life with a bold pop of orange, yellow, and purple. It’s my modern reimagining of the past, with a sprinkle of nostalgia and a dash of fresh, hand-painted flair.
This print is the first in a year-long project exploring the fascinating world of ghost signs. Over the next 12 months, I’ll be reimagining forgotten hand-painted advertisements, giving them a fresh twist while celebrating their rich history. Collect this piece to kick off the series and keep an eye out for more to come!
Printed using eco-friendly Risograph techniques, each print has its own unique quirks—just like a true ghost sign would (minus the peeling paint). Perfect for anyone who loves heritage, hand lettering, or just really, really cool art.
Hang it on your wall, and you’ll have a slice of history—and a guaranteed conversation starter.
Details:
Size: A3 (big enough to make a statement, not so big it takes over the room)
Print Method: Risograph (good for the planet, great for your walls)
Inspired By: The Metcalf & Co. Boot & Shoe Manufacturer ghost sign in Hucknall, Nottingham.
